St. Alban’s prepares for a busy October

The students and staff at St. Alban’s Nursery had a great start to the school year, welcoming lots of new friends from all over the world.

October will be a really busy month. As autumn approaches, the children will be looking around the church grounds for seasonal treasures and discovering nature. They will celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving on October 13, and have a special Thanksgiving lunch planned, made by the staff with the assistance of the students.

After that, it will soon be time to prepare for the school’s Halloween Party. Children will have a couple of weeks of scary fun making spooky decorations, singing fun Halloween songs, and playing games. This year the classroom will turn into a magic castle, complete with a witch’s cauldron, a ghost train, and a fabulous piñata! — GILMA YAMAMOTO-COPELAND
