Kanagawa
The 2014 Kanagawa International School Winter Course will be held at the Totsuka School and it will run over four days, from December 23–26, 9am–2pm. This winter course is an opportunity for children aged from 2–8 years old to enjoy arts and crafts, dancing, and show and tell; and to learn phonics, reading, writing, and maths. Nagoya
Aichi International School will be holding Winter School programs for both kindergarten and elementary school-aged students from Monday 22–Friday 26 December. Playpourri will hold their winter school program during the weeks of December 22–26, and January 5–9. Parents will have a variety of flexible options to choose from to make winter school a convenient and cost-friendly option for childcare over the holiday period.  The program will be open to children from 1–12 years of age. Nagano
Discover Japan will be running its annual English-language winter ski and snowboard camp in the mountains of Shiga Kogen, Nagano. The four-day, three-night camps allow beginners to learn in a safe environment, and children with experience will see their skills and confidence increase with our professional instructors. Camp 1 runs from December 19–22, and Camp 2 from January 2–5. Videos, bingo, games, sledding, and other activities are available after skiing and in the evening. Gregg International School is holding its winter school for two weeks from December 8–19, for children aged 1–14 years. Half-day (9am–midday) and full-day (9am–2:30pm) options possible. Ohana International School in Motoazabu 3-chome will be running their annual week of Winter School from Monday 15–Friday 19 December, from 8:30am–12:30pm (half day) or 8:30am–2pm (full day). During the week, the children will explore the wonders and magic of winter, looking at snow, the colour white, snowballs, preparations for New Year, kites, shuttlecocks, spinning tops, Chanukah, boots, mittens, jingle bells, Christmas trees, magical lights, and presents. Children will enjoy learning about these and more through arts and crafts, stories, games, and other fun activities. PAL International School winter school will run from December 15–19, from 8:30am–5pm.
