“Dick Whittington” by Tokyo Theatre for Children

Tokyo Theatre for Children (TTFC) is proud to present its autumn 2014 show for the young and the young at heart, staged entirely in English!

What will happen when Dick’s dream of becoming a singer doesn’t go to plan? How will Dick, Monty the Cat, and Colin the Cow rescue the beautiful Muriel from the clutches of the evil Mayor and his Henchmen? What will save the day? Will it be Mama-san’s yakitori? And how does the Fairy know so much about vending machines?

Find out in this hilarious original take on the classic British children’s tale, with everything you’d expect from a pantomime — music, audience participation, laughing with the good guys, booing the bad guys, farcical moments, and much, much more!

TTFC’s “Dick Whittington” is showing at the Theatre Bonbon in Nakano, Tokyo, on Friday, November 28 at 6:30pm; Saturday, November 29 at midday, 3pm, and 6:30pm; and on Sunday, November 30 at midday and 3pm. Tickets are ¥3,000 for anyone over elementary school age, ¥2,500 for children in elementary school and younger, and free for two-year-olds and younger.
