NewIS students learn Japanese literacy in a new way

New International School (NewIS) students learn all subjects in both English and Japanese from age 3 to grade 12. The students learn kanji along with the themes they study in all subject areas. They learn in a logical order in language arts, and by frequency of use. This is different from the old-fashioned educational method of repetition — it is now known that thinking and learning are achieved through connections. At NewIS, these connections are made.
