Thankful Thanksgiving at Aichi International

Now that the madness of the annual Aichi International School Halloween event is over, the school can look forward to a more relaxing month ahead, which includes a Thanksgiving Day lunch on November 27.

Because there are a number of American teachers at AIS, the event is always lively and lots of fun. Both the elementary and kindergarten students can enjoy lots of food for lunch, with the older students and/or the teachers telling the story of the first Thanksgiving. Following a brief rest, the elementary school students usually head outside for a game of football.

Amongst all the eating and merriment, the students usually sing along to songs for that year’s Christmas Musical. This year’s show will be held on Friday, December 12, at the Moriyama Theater, next to Obata Station. The show is entitled “A Winter’s Tail,” and starts at 5pm. More details can be found on http://nipais.com, for anyone interested in attending the show. — MARK REED
