Busy bees in Tokyo

Tokyo Bees, the Tokyo chapter of the Internationally renowned Helen O’Grady Drama Academy, is currently enrolling new students as they prepare for their annual Spring Performance in May.
The international curriculum, developed over 30 years and operating in 27 countries, covers all aspects of drama in education, based around verbal communication and use of language. The aim is to develop clear articulation, diction, creativity and confidence through speech exercises, improvisations, creative movement games, rhythm and rhyme. Children benefit by tapping into their own creativity, helping them to be positive about themselves and the world around them.

The Academy is already working with many schools in Tokyo to help all children develop the social and communication skills they will need in everyday life. For a chance to find out more about this unique and affordable program, they offer free, fun drama workshops for local schools, lasting from 30 mins to one hour. These are offered on a first come, first served basis, so please contact the Principal, Tenie Sangma ([email protected]) to discuss availability.
