Programs for schools

Evergreen Outdoor Center, based in Hakuba, Nagano Prefecture, has been running various programs for Japanese and international schools for many years. With a focus on outdoor education and environmental stewardship, children have a chance to experience new things, challenge themselves, create lasting memories, and develop relationships with fellow students as well as teachers.

Evergreen’s team of professional, bilingual instructors have years of experience guiding multiple activities, and programs can be tailored to suit the needs of your group. Camping is an option, or if staying indoors is preferred there are a range of accommodation choices. Outdoor activities to choose from include canoeing/kayaking, rafting, canyoning, mountain biking, hiking, orienteering, team building and climbing. Non-outdoor activities include cultural tours to areas within Nagano such as the famous “snow monkeys,” soba making and community volunteer work.

Evergreen also run Ski/Snowboard Camps in the Winter months and can take care of all necessary logistics — contact them directly to find out more details. Email [email protected].
