Children at Horizon Japan International School Sendai Campus celebrated Japanese Culture Day on July 5th by doing Tanabata Festival-related activities.
The children greatly enjoyed listening to a kamishibai picture story about Tanabata, eating okonomiyaki and cotton candy, and decorating a bamboo tree with “I want to be a …” cards. Many of the children’s parents participated in the day, helping with and enjoying the activities. — BARIS ARUK
